I like keeping fit and watching my weight, though an old knee injury prevents me from taking up a sport or an exercise regimen that involves running, walking or jogging. As I wanted something I could use at home, a friend suggested the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne exercise bike to strengthen the bad knee and to burn the extra calories while I was at it. I took this advice with a grain of salt and did some research before I shelled out any money. I am happy to report that this exercise bike did not disappoint.
Schwinn exercise bike
Of course, I’ve had experience with exercise bikes before, though I’ve always associated them with the hefty machines at the gym. The Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Exercise Bike, however, is small enough to squeeze into my fairly small apartment. In addition to the compact size, the transport wheels allow me to move it with little effort. Another feature I like in particular is the solid workout platform. Aside from the size and stability, the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Exercise Bike also features a different resistance system from other exercise bikes I checked out and tried before. It has a fan design that allows me to exercise at a level I’m comfortable with. If I want a higher level of resistance, I simply have to pedal faster and as you may have guessed, this really gets the heart pumping. If you’re like me who wants a complete workout, then you’ll appreciate the exercise arms too. You can focus on just exercising only your upper body or lower body if you like. The machine has an LCD that shows time, distance, calories, and RPM so I get to take note of my progress.
Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Exercise Bike reviews
Before I purchased the machine, I took a look at what others have to say about it. At Amazon, the AD2 has an average customer review of 4.5 out of 5 stars. Most of them sang praises about the bike’s compact size, the ease with which it can be assembled, and the Schwinn discount they got when they purchased it. They did note that they found the AD2’s seat to be a little uncomfortable, with some users suggesting additional padding. The seat seemed like a small flaw considering everything the Airdyne had to offer so I went ahead and got it. As of this writing, it’s still on sale at Amazon, retailing for only US$ 399.
If you’re interested in getting a full body workout in the comfort of your own home (and save money while you’re at it), then I suggest you get the Schwinn AD2 Airdyne Exercise Bike now while the offer’s still on.
